Thank you for your interest in our Cub Scout Pack!
Our Pack has a rich 50 year history serving the communities of Kenmore and Big Finn Hill and we're excited for your family to be a part of it!
Cub Scouts is open to all youth, regardless of gender or religious beliefs. Anyone can join, so let any friends know who might be interested.
If you're not sure if you'd like to join, feel free to come to one of our Pack Meetings.
These are typically from 7-8p on the 3rd Thursday of the month at Arrowhead Elementary School Gym. Please email cubmaster@kenmorepack564.org to let us know that you are coming and we will try to connect with you. You do not have to be registered as a scout to join our meetings.
To Get Started:
If you know you'd like to join, then you will need to do the following:
1) Complete an online application to register with Scouting America. Dues are paid directly to Scouting America and you will need to renew annually. Please let me know once you have completed your registration and I will look for your scout to become "active" in scoutbook (our online advancement tracking tool) so I can award them their whittling adventure loop.
2) Purchase a uniform. You can buy new uniform shirts online here. You will also need to buy a few uniform patches: Our Council patch, the world crest, with (optional world crest ring), and our unit numbers "564". You can see where these patches go on the uniform here. (If purchasing a uniform is a barrier for your family's participation, We can help with that! Please let us know by emailing us: cubmaster@kenmorepack564.org).
3) Read the Pack Handbook that contains more detailed information about scouting and our pack's operations
Meetings:
Our Pack meets once per month, typically on the 3rd Thursday of each month, September-June. We meet at Arrowhead Elementary School Gym from 7-8pm.
In addition to our Pack Meetings, we will have special Pack events, like camping, bike riding, hiking, fishing and other fun outings sprinkled throughout the year.
You can find a calendar of Pack level events on our website here.
Independently, each Den will meet at least once per month to work on advancement requirements to earn your respective rank by the end of the year. The schedule for den meetings varies by den. Once you have registered, we will get you in contact with your den leader to find out more about where & when your den meets.
Volunteers Needed:
A scout is helpful! Our pack is run completely by parent volunteers and we would LOVE for you to get involved and help out in whatever capacity you can. Our Committee meetings are generally held on the 4th Thursday of each month from 7-8p. Please let us know if you'd be interested in helping out!
